Python/Django Developer (Contract Basis)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Python/Django Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing web application projects from requirement analysis through to delivery. This role requires proficiency in both backend and frontend development, as well as deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and Django.
• Implement responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal functionality.
• Manage deployment processes and ensure smooth integration of applications into production environments.
• Document development processes, code changes, and application features.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance development practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and Django framework.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in web application development (internships or projects).
• Familiarity with deployment tools and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Heroku).
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.

Contract Details

• Appointment will be on a per-project basis.
